These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and National CPR Center LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") regarding your use of our website, services, and training programs.
By accessing our website, registering for courses, or participating in our training programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.
2. Description of Services
National CPR Center provides the following training services:
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training and certification
- AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training and certification
- First Aid training and certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) provider and instructor certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Heartsaver courses for various age groups and settings
- Online and in-person training options
- Corporate and group training services
- Instructor development and certification programs
- Recertification and renewal services
We are an authorized training site for American Heart Association students and instructors, ensuring our programs meet nationally recognized standards.
3. User Eligibility and Registration
3.1 Age Requirements
- Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account
- Users under 18 require parental consent for training participation
- Certain courses may have specific age requirements mandated by certification standards
3.2 Account Registration
When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information as necessary
- Protect your account credentials and notify us of unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Use your account solely for lawful purposes
4. Course Enrollment and Attendance
4.1 Course Requirements
- Meet prerequisite requirements for advanced courses
- Demonstrate the physical ability to perform CPR skills and techniques
- Attend the entire course duration to remain eligible for certification
- Actively participate in hands-on skill practice
- Successfully complete written and practical examinations
4.2 Online Course Policies
- Complete online courses within the specified time frame
- Ensure access to required technology and internet connectivity
- Complete proctored examinations when required
- Schedule hands-on skill verification when a course requires it
4.3 In-Person Course Policies
- Arrive on time; late arrivals may not be admitted
- Wear professional attire and closed-toe shoes
- Bring valid photo identification
- Silence cell phones and electronic devices during training
- Follow any food or beverage restrictions in the training environment
5. Payment Terms and Policies
5.1 Course Fees
- Course fees are due at registration unless otherwise arranged
- Prices may change without notice
- Group discounts and corporate rates may be available upon request
- Additional fees may apply for expedited processing or accommodations
5.2 Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Student Cancellations: Full refund if cancelled at least 48 hours before the course start
- Late Cancellations: 50% refund when cancelled 24-48 hours before the course start
- No-Show Policy: No refund for cancellations less than 24 hours in advance or for no-shows
- Company Cancellations: Full refund if we cancel a course
- Weather/Emergency: Courses may be rescheduled without penalty
- Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
5.3 Corporate and Group Training
- Custom pricing is available for groups of eight or more students
- Established corporate clients may receive NET 30 payment terms
- Minimum participant requirements may apply
- Cancellation policies may differ for large group bookings
6. Certification and Credentialing
6.1 Certification Standards
- All certifications meet American Heart Association standards
- Certification validity periods follow the issuing organization's rules
- Students must demonstrate competency in all required skills
- Written examinations must be passed with minimum required scores
6.2 Certificate Issuance
- Certificates are issued upon successful course completion
- Digital certificates are available immediately after completion
- Physical certificates may take 5-10 business days to process
- Replacement certificates may be issued for a fee
6.3 Recertification Requirements
- Students are responsible for tracking certification expiration dates
- Recertification courses must be completed before expiration
- Expired certifications require full initial certification courses
- Reminder notifications are provided as a courtesy but are not guaranteed
7. Instructor Policies
7.1 Instructor Qualifications
- Maintain current certifications and credentials
- Complete approved instructor development programs
- Undergo background checks when required
- Meet continuing education requirements for instructor renewal
7.2 Instructor Responsibilities
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance
- Follow approved curriculum and teaching guidelines
- Ensure student safety during practical exercises
- Complete required documentation and reporting
- Participate in quality assurance and monitoring activities
8. Safety and Liability
8.1 Assumption of Risk
Participation in CPR and first aid training involves physical activity that may pose inherent risks. By enrolling, you acknowledge and assume these risks, including physical exertion, potential injury from practice equipment, and exposure to simulated emergency scenarios.
8.2 Medical Clearance
- Consult a physician before participation if you have medical conditions
- Notify instructors of any physical limitations or medical concerns
- Provide medical clearance when requested as a condition of participation
- Request reasonable accommodations when needed; we will provide them when possible
8.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, National CPR Center shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of our services.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
9.1 Proprietary Content
Our proprietary content includes, but is not limited to:
- Training materials, videos, and presentations
- Course curricula and educational content
- Website design, graphics, and user interface
- Trademarks, logos, and brand elements
- Software and technology platforms
This content is owned by National CPR Center, the American Heart Association, or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
9.2 Permitted Use
- Use course materials for personal study and reference
- Do not share materials outside the course without permission
- Obtain written permission for any commercial use of materials
- Avoid recording or reproducing course content without consent

- Refunds are processed according to our refund policy
- Completed certifications remain valid regardless of account status

We may suspend or terminate access immediately, without notice, for:

- Disruptive or inappropriate behavior
- Non-payment of fees

13. Disclaimers and Warranties

- Training does not guarantee emergency response competency

- Ongoing practice and education are recommended

13.3 Technology Disclaimers
- Uninterrupted or error-free service is not guaranteed
- Technical issues may impact online course delivery
- Device and browser compatibility is not guaranteed
- Third-party services may have separate terms
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless National CPR Center, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms or third-party rights.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15.2 Dispute Resolution
- Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation
- Unresolved disputes may proceed to binding arbitration
