ACLS Course Description

Here's how the BLS Provider course works.

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course will prepare healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage cardiac emergencies and resuscitation efforts. Developed by the American Heart Association (AHA), the ACLS course emphasizes a systematic approach to patient assessment and treatment, including recognition and intervention for respiratory and cardiac arrest, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.

Participants will learn critical concepts such as team dynamics, effective communication, and the use of advanced cardiovascular life support techniques and equipment. Successful completion of the ACLS course is required for many healthcare professions, and it is widely recognized as a benchmark for excellence in emergency medical care.

The course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. These professionals include, but are not limited to, physicians, nurses, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians (EMTs).

Here's what you'll learn in the ACLS Provider class:
  • High Performance Teams - Recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance and model effective communication as a member or leader of a high performance team

  • Post Arrest Management - Describe the systematic approach to a patient after cardiac arrest, and describe the initial steps of post-cardiac arrest management

Participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and intervene in a variety of cardiovascular emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, stroke, and arrhythmias. It emphasizes the importance of basic life support (BLS) protocols, airway management, and the use of advanced interventions, such as defibrillation and medication administration. Excellent place to get your BLS! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The instructor was amazing and made sure all questions were answered as well as really explaining everything in depth. The environment is very friendly and the hands on experience was very detailed with constructive criticism. Highly recommend!
