How to become a CPR instructor?
Follow the steps below to start your journey as an AHA instructor
1. BLS Instructor Essentials
Required to be completed by all AHA instructor candidates prior to training.
The BLS Instructor Essentials course will completed online and will prepare you for the live BLS Instructor training day. You will get access to the AHA BLS Instructor Essentials course once you complete the registration process.
2. BLS Instructor Training
Hands-on BLS instructor training in a live classroom setting with an Instructor.
The BLS Instructor Training will cover the BLS Provider Course from the instructor's perspective. Additionally, you will learn how to navigate the AHA Instructor Network and use the "PAM" (Program Administration Manual).
3. BLS Instructor Monitoring
Demonstrate your skills while you teach an actual live CPR class.
The final requirement of your AHA instructor training is to be monitored while teaching a real live CPR class at our training site. Once complete you'll receive your BLS Instructor Certification to teach AHA CPR classes.
